Pentatonic scale is widely used in blues, funk, jazz, rock to metal.
Best way to learn in my opinion is mag awat2 ug mga licks sa mga pro and sikat na mga artist. Then once ma absorb nimo ang mga style nila with just a few little changes... then it becomes your own personal licks.

here are some videos regarding on pentatonic scale and licks.
